Lee Kum Kee Receives Achievement Award for the 20th Anniversary of the HKSAR Celebration
Financial Secretary of the HKSAR, Mr Paul Chan Mo-po presented the “Achievement Award for the 20th Anniversary of the HKSAR Celebration” to Mr. Francis Chan, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer of Lee Kum Kee Sauce Group.
Lee Kum Kee Sauce Group has garnered the “Outstanding Import & Export Enterprise Awards 2017–Achievement Award for the 20th Anniversary of the HKSAR Celebration” by the Hong Kong Chinese Importers’ and Exporters’ Association (the Association). Amidst the 20th anniversary of the return of Hong Kong to its motherland, the Association has set up this prize to recognise Lee Kum Kee as a highly representative company for its contribution to Hong Kong’s import and export industry over the years.
Having a glorious history of close to 130 years, Lee Kum Kee has developed into a renowned household name. Since the 1920s, Lee Kum Kee’s products have been sold to the overseas Chinese market in North America. In the 1990s, its production bases were set up in the United States, Mainland China and Malaysia. Nowadays, over 200 types of the Company’s products are distributed to over 100 countries and regions worldwide, with its salient achievement of becoming the world’s No. 1 oyster sauce brand for 10 years’ in a row.
Mr. Francis Chan, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer of Lee Kum Kee Sauce Group, said, “Lee Kum Kee is honoured to be the sole winner of the ‘Achievement Award for the 20th Anniversary of the HKSAR Celebration’ by the Association as an accreditation of its contribution to the import and export industry. Next year marks Lee Kum Kee’s 130th anniversary. This is the fourth year the Award Ceremony of the Outstanding Import & Export Enterprise Awards has been staged. The Award aims at recognising and promoting outstanding enterprises with successful experience, enhancing cohesion in the import and export industry to pursue continued breakthrough. Judging criteria for “Achievement Award for the 20th Anniversary of the HKSAR Celebration” included economic contribution, impact on the industry, social responsibility, etc.
