I already came to know about Lee Kum Kee as a trusted brand on TV when I was still small. I joined the Company as a production assistant more than a decade ago and am now managing a packaging team of more than 100 members in the Huangpu Production Base. I now have far greater responsibilities and more information has become available to me, which drive me to look at the whole picture.
Lee Kum Kee holds regular training for staff to raise our awareness of quality. We are reminded to get every step right and pursue the highest possible quality rather than rush headlong to get all things done as soon as possible. The Company also provides us with other kinds of training, such as lean production, communication skills and team building, which help improve our skills and performance at work.
I very much admire Lee Kum Kee’s corporate culture and in particular go by the core values of “Pragmatism” and “Integrity” at work – keep your feet on the ground, be honest and sincere, keep your words. Applying these values at work has earned me trust from my supervisors and other colleagues.
To those who are new to the Company, a tip for success: be humble and grounded, and learn hard. When you stay focused and humble, you will be able to learn from others’ knowledge and experience, and in turn will enable you to pass on Lee Kum Kee’s core values.
I’d compare my work at Lee Kum Kee with our Selected Soy Sauce. My family has been using this product for many years, which is loved by many other customers on the market. The production of soy sauce involves a large number of processes, each of which must be carried out absolutely flawlessly for high-quality soy sauce to be made. It’s like my work attitude – I am serious and conscientious about my every task, and I endeavour to better myself continuously.
