POSITION SUMMARY

Handle and process daily purchase orders for Lee Kum Kee (USA) Foods, Inc.and Lee Kum Kee (USA), Inc.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Purchase Order processing; daily process, follow up and scheduledelivery appointments of POs for – Production, Engineering, QualityControl/Technical Services, IT, Logistics and Human Resources. 30%
  • Sourcing; assist functions with sourcing new items, equipment, andmaterials/ingredients for new product development, risk assessments,and cost savings projects. Handle more complex and critical purchases30%
  • Record management; of new vendor set-up, vendor evaluation & vendormaster list, update pricing & material master records in SAP,Support external and internal audits and Corrective Action &Non-conforming Material Report. 10%
  • Safety Planning:Participate in annual budgeting ofmaterial requirements.10%
  • Leased equipment; coordinate lease renewal, service repairs andpreventive maintenance. 20%
  • Other duties and projects may be assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or minimum three to five yearsof food manufacturing industry related experience and or/training; orequivalent combination of education and experience. Computer literate inMicrosoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint experience. Strong sourcing andnegotiating skills,research market outlook, and stronganalysis skills.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Successful candidate must possess excellent communication andpresentational skills both written and verbal and proven ability to workindependently in cross-functional teams to achieve established goals.Bilingual in English/Chinese preferred

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate and analyze figures and amounts such as rates,increases, percentages, variance, deductions, and adjustments. Idealcandidate must be able to apply mathematical concepts to reports.

REASONING ABILITY & OTHER WORK ETHICS

Ideal candidate must be able to solve practical problems and deal with avariety of concrete variables in situations where only limitedstandardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructionsfurnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Good organizationskills, high working ethics and good working attitudes are required.
