POSITION SUMMARY

This position assists as needed in the lab. Potential Backup for QA LabCoordinator.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Perform Chemical and physical analysis for samples (product, ingredients,environmental, sanitation chemical) as soon as sample arrived; calculatedand determine amount of ingredients needed to adjust semi-finished goodsample reading back to specified range. Discuss results and findings withthose in charge of the products, and recommend any required correctiveactions as needed.
  • Conduct microbiological analysis for samples provided.
  • Verify data measured against specification and determine acceptability.
  • Enter data into system. Conduct trend analysis. Report any trend tosupervisor in timely manner,
  • Maintain and calibrate lab equipment.
  • Maintain working area clean (clean up area, equipment, tools, etc. afteranalysis is ended. Sample disposal).
  • Work as team with other lab technician and assist each other to providedata in timely manner.
  • Cover with other lab technician in their absence.
  • Help maintaining inventory of lab supplies.
  • Assist QA/QC management improve the microbiological, chemical andphysical quality of LKK products.
  • Assist QA/QC management to conduct special projects regardingmicrobiological, chemical and physical issues.
  • Maintain & follow Good Laboratory Practice at all times.
  • Perform all other special assignments as requested.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Acollege degree is preferred for this position.Experience in a food company lab is useful; and experience inadministrative support to a technical department or organization ispreferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating andmaintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write reportsand correspondence and prepare and deliver clear and smooth presentation.Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or and employees oforganization. Convey information clearly and effectively through bothformal and informal documents

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure,using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ideal candidate mustcompute rates, ratios, and percentages and draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructionsfurnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to read and comprehendequipment manuals and electrical diagrams for set-up control loops.Candidate must be able to deal with problems involving several concretevariables in standardized situations.

On rare occasions, the employee may need to lift and/ormove up to 50 pounds. Specific vision ability is required, including closeand distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, andability to adjust and stay focus. Perform frequent sensory evaluation suchas tasting of the food products.
